Pamela P. Abraham

Pamela P. AbrahamFor more than 18 years, I had the privilege to be personally taught by Fr. Russell DeSimone, O.S.A., a patristic scholar. I also became acquainted with Fr. Russell’s brother, Bishop Louis DeSimone. I drove them to Church events, doctors’ appointments and we shared many wonderful Italian meals. I am grateful for the depth of spiritual knowledge and guidance imparted to me.

I was blessed to accompany the DeSimone’s during times of critical medical concerns. Although they declined at different times, both entered the St. Thomas of Villanova Monastery medical unit. I visited Fr. Russell daily, fed him dinner (the Bishop always fed him lunch), recited prayers and read to him spiritual writings that he once taught me. I observed the outstanding health care provided to all the friars and especially to the Bishop in his final months.

Exceptional health care can only be provided through substantial giving. I am strongly committed to the Augustinians and happily give back for the many blessings I have received over the years. I have decided to name the Augustinians in my will. I invite you to consider your legacy gift to this most worthy cause.
