I don’t think I remember a time when I didn’t know about the Augustinian Friars. My much older brothers were attending Msgr. Bonner High School when I entered first grade.

Read about Joseph Micucci’s 62-year relationship with the Augustinians at Monsignor Bonner High School. Inspired by friars, friends and classmates, he and his wife created a gift to support the Augustinians’ ministries.

Mari and Charley Connolly

Mari and I believe strongly in supporting the Augustinian Friars and their important ministries. We became acquainted with Fr. Don Reilly, O.S.A., former Provincial of the Province of St. Thomas of Villanova, when I chaired the Malvern Prep Board of Trustees. Fr. Don asked me to chair the newly established Development Council for the Province in 2006.

Pamela P. Abraham

For more than 18 years, I had the privilege to be personally taught by Fr. Russell DeSimone, O.S.A., a patristic scholar. I also became acquainted with Fr. Russell’s brother, Bishop Louis DeSimone.

Michael and Jean MacDonald

I was 12 years old when my older brother, Brad, decided to enter the Order of Saint Augustine. As a child, I recall playing basketball with the seminarians at St. Mary’s Hall on Villanova’s campus. My mother and Fr. Don Reilly’s mother were members of the Augustinian Guild.

What drew me to the Augustinians was the community that Fr. John Deary, O.S.A., developed and sustained at my parish, St. Katherine Drexel in Cape Coral, Florida. Fr. Deary’s compassion and commitment changed my perspective on my religion and spirituality.

Anthony Dellomo

I came to Villanova University in 1961 from Staten Island. I was lost and home sick. I had the good fortune to meet Fr. Richard D. Appicci, O.S.A., who took me under his wing and guided my lost soul. I met many other Augustinians through him and attached myself to the Augustinian charism and mission.
